Exuberant Ctags is one of the major reasons Workspace Whiz exists. Exuberant Ctags has an incredibly fast C, C++, and Java parser, among other things. Workspace Whiz depends on Exuberant Ctags for its list of tags.

Doxygen by Dimitri van Heesch

After searching high and low for a documentation solution for Workspace Whiz! (and other products), Doxygen was found. Doxygen is free, comes with full source code, and is well supported. It is, hands down, the best documentation tool I have ever come across.

Lua

I've had the pleasure of using the scripting language, Lua, for years. It is a super powerful, embeddable, ANSI C compliant language that supports cool stuff like dynamic data description (like XML, but before its time), dictionaries, and a whole lot more.
